Centre Charlemagne Guide
Your Mobile Guide through Aachen's City Museum
The Centre Guide is a mobile app for iOS and Android that guides you through the permanent and temporary exhibitions of the Centre Charlemagne, Aachen's city museum. Our App Store versions launched in time for the new temporary exhibition on Charles V on Oct 23, 2020, precisely 500 years after his coronation. The guide provides audio commentary in German, English, French, and Dutch on each exhibit. Navigating each exhibition is easy using our map-based interface. If you prefer reading over listening, just switch to a text version of each commentary with a tap. Images of many exhibits support the commentary. The app is also a great way to explore or revisit an exhibition before or after your visit.
Since the opening of the Centre Charlemagne in 2014, our Centre Guide has been used in the museum to guide visitors through the permanent exhibition on rental iOS devices. We are thrilled to now also offer every visitor the opportunity to download and use the app on their own device.
