FabLab Aachen Projects
Every week, many regular makers from our university lab, but also many FabLab visitors, use the 3D printers, lasercutter, PCB mill, Arduino boards, soldering workstations and everything else our Fab Lab has to offer, to create their own cool projects. Check out what's currently being made in the Fab Lab!

Ongoing Photo Stream of Projects
19.05.2026: Julian came up with a special gift for his grandfather's 80th birthday. A miniature of his old sailing boat. Everything self-(reverse)designed by Julian.

05.05.2026: Birgit wanted a authentic looking parquet floor for a diorama. You can see the finished thing in our monthly maker meetup report.

18.02.2026: We were ordered to print some oversized building blocks for a drawer system.

04.11.2025: Julian wanted a fancy book nook for his shelf an found this. We thought it would also do well sprucing up our filament shelf.

07.10.2025: To celebrate a wedding, these cool small gifts were laser cut.

28.10.2025: We printed a spooky zombie hand for a little girls halloween decoration.

16.09.2025: Frederik cut some cork coasters for cups as a little birthday present for a MTG-loving friend. Cheers!

02.09.2025: Frederik printed some Miniatures for his DnD-Group together with a printing handle for a later paint job. It's not quiet SLA-quality but we'd say it's pretty close.

27.08.2025: Max had the idea of a decorative map of his college town. No small project but we made it work.

20.08.2025: We 3D-printed this Hearthstone decoration for a wedding, adding a small magnet on the back so it can be easily attached.

12.08.2025: Jan wanted an information sign, which we laser-engraved and -cut out of a bi-colored acrylic plate.

05.08.2025: Ben and Julia were laser-cutting great decorations for a Viking-themed summer camp for children.

05.08.2025: Together with Aaron we experimented with laser-cutting EVA foam, a typical material for cosplays and LARPs. After figuring out the fitting settings, these pieces came out which will soon be assembled into gloves.
