1. Controlling computers with your bare hands (Chat)
Why do interacting with computers have to be restricted to pressing buttons on gadgets, ignoring 29 degrees of freedom of your hand? In this semester, you will take a look how HCI literature interpret hand motion for controlling computers.
Guiding question: How are data captured from human hand motion interpreted for interaction designs?

2. Extending digital interfaces to the physical world with smartphone projection (Nur)
In 2012 Sumsung released the first smartphone with integrated projector~~Samsung Galaxy Beam. What new potentials does this technology have? E.g., mixed and augmented reality, rapid physical prototyping, collaboration, etc. And what challenges does this technology bring upon interaction designers? E.g., interaction techniques, gestural interaction, accessibility, interface layout design, etc.
