The HCI App

We are developing an app that lets you run basic experiments from Human–Computer Interaction on your smartphone. You can use it by yourself, with your study group, or as an instructor in class.

We are starting with a Fitts' Law experiment; more experiments are in the pipeline. When using this experiment in a group session, the data of everybody participating is aggregated anonymously to visualize the statistics that illustrate the effects of Fitts' Law.

The app will be in the App Stores for iOS and Android by May 2025. It will be open source, so you can even contribute your own experiments. Initial development is funded by the Exploratory Teaching Space (ETS) initiative at RWTH Aachen University.
