Girls' Day 2023

On 27.4.2023, this year's Girls' Day took place for the first time again in attendance. In the Fab Lab, 10 participants visited us at the workshop: "Fab Labs: Workshops for Creatives". The aim was to learn more about Fab Lab Aachen, to get to know different machines of the lab and to build a small project afterwards.

The participants first got their own name tags made of plexiglass, which were engraved and cut out with the laser cutter. Afterwards, there was a short tour of the lab and the chair. There were especially many questions about the machines in the Fab Lab, which we were happy to answer. We also showed how the laser cutter works and how to make a print on a 3D printer.

When we arrived in the seminar room, small robots were developed and assembled. For this, the participants used a paper cup and a vibration motor. Participants were also allowed to personalize their robots and equip them with a pen so that the robots could draw their own motion paths. The day ended with proud presentations of the finished robots.
