Thinking about a Start-Up? Talk to a fellow CS PhD student to get started, and get access to rapid hardware prototyping tools!
If you are an RWTH student or employee and are considering founding a company, we can help you get going. We are part of the RWTH Excellence Startup Center, and work directly with RWTH Innovation to provide advice on your first steps towards a start-up, how to get first financial support, and how to continue afterwards.
Oliver Nowak is a PhD student at the Chair for Computer Science 10 (Media Computing and Human–Computer Interaction). He studied Computer Science at RWTH, and he is your liaison and first, low-threshold point of contact. Don't be afraid to reach out. Of course, your business idea will be treated strictly confidential.
We also offer you low-threshold access to rapid prototyping tools like lasercutters and 3D printers in our Fab Lab Aachen, to test your startup idea.
RWTH Innovation offers a variety programs to support students, scientists, and people from outside RWTH. Their Ideation Program helps you take the first steps of founding from your first idea to your first round of financial support. After that, it offers you support via events and coaching services in the Incubation Program. There, you can get in touch with other founders and experts in your area. For more information about the offerings of the RWTH Innovation, visit their website.
