Aachen Maker Meetup #163: Exciting presentation about PCB boards
The latest Maker Meetup in Aachen was an inspiring evening filled with innovative projects and engaging discussions. A special highlight of the event was a captivating presentation by Thea from Aisler, a professional in the electronics industry. She provided an insight into the world of PCB manufacturing, explaining the structure of PCB boards, key production steps and essential design rules. The Audience was particularly fascinated by her explanations of common mistakes made in PCB design and manufacturing, as well as her valuable experiences from the field. Thea's talk provided both beginners and experienced makers with useful tips and tricks for designing and producing high-quality PCBs. Her presentation created a lot of interest and follow-up questions from the audience, leading to an interactive and informative session.
There were also other do-it-yourself projects. For example, Torsten brought along a self-designed circuit board that could light up LEDs in different colours. In addition to his circuit board, Torsten showed a 3D-printed gear mechanism.
The event included a pizza break, which gave visitors the opportunity to socialise, exchange ideas and discuss their ongoing projects. This break encouraged collaboration and generated new ideas among the participants.
