AMM #172: Waterfalls and a 3D-Printed Press

In this month's Maker Meetup, people brought some cool, mostly 3D-printed projects. We also spent some time in the FabLab and had a look at current research at the chair in the form of shape-changing cubes.

Torsten brought some of his painted model trains. Very impressive how big the difference between store bought and hand-painted is. He also brought some parts of a 3D-printed house, which he is also going to paint.

As always, Birgit brought many 3D-printed projects, for example, a lithophane picture of Donald Duck. When the light panel in the back is turned on, colors appear!

Birgit also brought a mostly 3D-printed waterfall. Add a small pump and a bit of bamboo, and you get very relaxing sounds on your desk. You could even add some plants in the orange container. She also brought a simple 3D-printed Japanese game called Konchu Resuma where you have to push the other players from the platform.

Martin showed us a small, cute, and fully 3D-printed cupboard.

Odine presented a press for making beautiful little artworks on washi paper. It can work either a plastic or a turned steel roll if more pressure is needed.
