Research Projects: HCI Design Patterns

Designing successful interactive systems requires user inteface designers to work together with software engineers and application domain experts in an interdisciplinary team. A major problem within such groups is communication between team members. Pattern languages have been communicating design knowledge successfully within architecture and software engineering in the past.

hcipatterns.org is an online community of designers, interested in human-computer-interaction patterns, sharing resources to create new patterns.

The homepage of HCI Design Patterns is located at:

There is also a companion web site for my book, A Pattern Approach to Interaction Design.
