Problems and Challenges

Following are some problems and challenges we faced while building this device.

Both of us know next to nothing about music, which made the task to build a musical instrument really hard. But we do know a little bit about the physics of sound, so we used this knowledge when implementing the software.

We could not implement our initial design because of the limitations of the available Teleo modules. The instrument we had initially thought of would have needed at least 10 analog inputs, but the Teleo multi-IO module only provides four. So we grudgingly added four buttons to get a higher number of inputs. The addition of the buttons also meant that the mapping between input and sound had to be different from what we had envisioned.
