It might be possible that a route is shorter but congested due to traffic rush. In this situation, he will prefer to use a longer route but which has less traffic rush on it. It was because of suggestions of this user that we added the compute shortest path with respect to time feature along with the compute shortest path with respect to distance feature in our Mobile GIS.
  3. While traveling, the user also considered different factors like road width, speed limits, number of signals etc. On the basis of these factors, he decided about a specific route to his destination.
  4. While the user was aware of the technology like motor guidance system, but still he might use the tools like Compass and Pole Star to find out his way to the destination while he is lost somewhere.
  5. The user emphasized that the Mobile GIS application should be easy enough to understand and operate for a general user.
  6. The user also emphasized that the Mobile GIS technology should be up to date and comprehensive. He referred to a situation in which his relative had to take longer route just because the device didn't know about the existence of a subway.
