| DESCRIPTION |

The
application will be designed to facilitate its users in
finding shortest paths, timings of buses, trains and trams
and helping the users in situations like traffic congestion
when they are on their way to destination. The application
also contains advanced and frequently used features like
reminders, using which the user will be able to perform
the activity which he wants to perform without any mental
stress of remembering it. Hence the user can save his precious
time and effort and the task will be performed in parallel
of some other intended activity. The application is designed
for small mobile devices like PDA's; hence it would be portable
and easily accessible for frequent users.

application is intended to be used by anyone ranging from
kids to old people who face difficulties while traveling from
one place to another in finding out the shortest paths and
other critical information regarding the journey. The users
interested in having reminding capabilities in their mobile
devices are target users of this application as well. |

ASSUMPTIONS |
1.
All the different modes of transportation (buses, trains and
trams) have built-in GPS devices.
2. The mobile GIS is a wireless device which is connected
to a central database via satellite.
3. The information regarding the streets, routes etc is loaded
from this central database. |
