CONCLUDING REMARKS [ Feature List | Project ]
This section of the report contains concluding remarks on the project. The design changes that took place during the different phases, particular difficulties that we face during the project, specific design considerations that were put into act during the whole process

DESIGN PRINCIPLES - A SUMMARY
During the whole software product development life cycle we always kept in mind Norman's principles, Interface Design Guidelines and some of the Heuristics that we developed of our own. A couple of them are discussed below.
Simple User Interface Design
Great emphasis was laid on the fact that the user interface should be simple and easy to use. One specific test that was conducted in this regard was the 15 seconds comprehension test. See Usability Testing.
Gestalt Laws
Primary focus was on the grouping of components. The navigation button were grouped together as a they belong to the same class of operations. The boundries around the results enclosed the domain of results so that the user can pay quick attention. The laws were tested on the remaining group members and users and they were successfully able to percieve them as a separate group from a distance.
