Changes After Usability Testing |
The
Transportation Timings and Transportation Routes Options
were merged together, because they contained some redundant
information, and because of the fact that one of our users
confused them (instead of going into the transport route
option he went to the transport timings, while completing
a task in which he was required to find out the fare of
a particular bus on a specific route). Other users also
suggested that the two options are logically connected to
one another so they should be merged together. Apart
from this confusion all the users were able to complete
there tasks successfully. They easily figured out the following
facts:
|
What
options the device supported?
|
What to do? | Where to go? | Where they were?
| How to go back?

15
Seconds And Bang |
One
of the most important usability tests that we conducted was
the "Making sense of every thing within 15 seconds test".
In this test the users were required to understand, comprehend
and then subsequently explain the entire interface within
15 seconds. One of the most cherishing features of the User
Interface design of Mobile GIS is that fact that all the screens
are completely comprehendible within 15 seconds, a feat that
was achieved after repetitive DIA cycles. For those who disbelieve,
have a go at the user interfaces for yourself. |
