Assignment 8

Testing on Britta

The main concern she had focused on the navigation through the menus. Since the Communicator has a “normal” computer keyboard she assumed that the tab key was used to move from one field to the next. We had assumed that this would be done with the arrow-keys. It seems that the use of both tab and arrows make sense and should be usable to navigate through the windows. In addition she would use ‘enter’ to select an object rather than moving to the according field and then selecting it. The second point that she made was that it is necessary to show that the schedule has changed and where. For example if I have to take an other train this should be highlighted (maybe in a different colour) or marked in some manner. Even if it is just a small note such as have the header of the window say “changed train schedule”.
