Paper Prototyping

After testing our paper prototypes on our classmates, we decided to apply the following design changes:

  • It would be helpful to have the system include a predefined text in
every mail the user sends, containing information regarding his person and
    the transaction,
  • the test users reported that browsing through deep
'directory'-structures can be exhaustive, so the path in order to reach a
    desired item should get shortened,
  • a user gave us an advise to 'merge' deep and narrow category-structures
if they only contain few items,
  • the appearance of lists should be more consistent, e.g. the symbols
    used for enumeration,
  • it would be desirable to have a little textual hint like "restrict to
category" when creating (or editing) a search in order to accent the
meaning of the selection fields on the page,
  • the user should have the possibility to restrict a search to more than
    one category,
  • one "tester" requested the possibility of using pdf-files, for the
    description of the products,
  • the trashcan should be moved from the 'Communication' page to the main
    screen,
  • offers should be activated or deactivated arbitrarily,
  • within the section "myOffers"  an additional information concerning the
number of new messages should be displayed (feedback!),
  • in the communication center a button for buying immediately could be
    offered,
  • at last simplicity of use would be enhanced through empowering the
central control to delete old entries automatically.
