The iStuff Project - Tutorials

The picture above shows how you can prototype a new application using iStuff. The iStuff components communicate with their Proxys through a wireless connection. The Proxys can post messages (called ‘events’) to the Event Heap or receive them from it. The Event Heap is a transmission path that allows multiple transmitters and receivers to interact with each other at the same time.

In order to control the iSpeaker with the iDog you can connect both to the Event Heap. Make the iDog post an event whenever it gets handled and let the iSpeaker play whenever it receives this event. In case the iDog sends another event than the one the iSpeaker expects, the intermediate Patch Panel could translate the event. In the tutorials below you will find more detailled information about how the separate components work and how you can use them.
